Some Rare Coins To Look Out For!

1943 Copper Penny

Due to wartime needs of copper for use in ammunition and other military equipment during World War II, the United States Mint researched various ways to limit dependence and meet conservation goals on copper usage. After trying out several substitutes to replace the standard copper cents, the one-cent coin was minted in zinc-coated steel. However some pennies in 1943 were struck on the copper planchets on accident. While the 1943 steel pennies are worth a few bucks, the rare copper version is worth more. Depending on the condition of it, the 1943 copper penny can be worth anywhere from $60,000 to $85,000.

1913 V-Nickel

This Coin was technically not even supposed to be made. In 1913 the us nickel was supposed to have a new design. The old design was the "V nickel" design and they introduced the "buffalo nickel design." There is only 5 known to exist! As you imagine, since there is only 5 known this coin cost a fortune. One of the 5 sold at auction for $3.1 million!

I will be adding more coins to the list soon as well as adding more stuff to the website soon. When I have more time I will also add more pages and try to improve the website design.
